The first pass was the wrong prescription. Muting the palette and putting a serif on it made it drab and old, which is a worse problem than the one it solved. Colour and modernity are not what make a brand look generated — default choices are. The same mint-and-coral triad, the same Inter, the same tracked-mono eyebrow, the same card grid. So this round keeps the mark joining the dots, gives the palette more colour rather than less, and makes the type newer rather than older.
Outcome, 2 August 2026. Option C — Constellation — was adopted and has shipped. The mark shown below as previous is retired, and the palette beside it (#1D3461, #3ECFBE, #F07043, #F7FAFC) is retired with it — those four literals are now checked absent from the product on every build. They are kept on this page deliberately: this page is the argument for replacing them, and rewriting them would leave a comparison with nothing on one side.

Fix these five and the brand can be as colourful as you like.
The joining is currently implied by a square frame — and that square is also what makes the mark read as a camera at favicon size. Draw the joins instead of implying them and the idea gets louder, the camera read disappears, and there is room for the colour to mean something: one hue per node, matching the line types in your own architecture legend.

The problem was never that you use colour. It is that mint teal, coral and navy on cool grey is the exact triad every generator reaches for, and that the three are sprinkled decoratively. Push the hues off the default, add a fourth, and tie each to something real — the line types already in your module map.
Brighter, not quieter. The difference from today is that a reader can work out why a thing is violet, and violet appears where the golden thread does rather than wherever a fourth colour was needed.
