commvita™
Connected care platform
Where do you start?

Start anywhere small

commvita has more than six hundred modules, and that’s too many to be a starting point. So don’t start with the platform. Start with one low-risk door that replaces a contract you already hold and releases its cost. Let each step pay for the next, and finish at the single patient record.

Live vs demonstrated: Live — real, API-backed platform logic (wired end-to-end today) Demonstrated — representative control surface with seeded data / illustrative UI mock-up

1Four doors in. Pick one.

Every door below is in the Governance & Assurance Edition, the edition boards buy. It has no clinical workflow and doesn’t depend on clinical accreditation, which is why it’s the low-risk place to start. Each door replaces one contract you already hold. The status marks come from the platform’s own record of which screens read live data, measured at build B-966.

Incident & safety

Bought by the board and the patient-safety team

Record incidents under PSIRF, trace every one along the golden thread to a theme, a risk and a board objective, and run corrective actions to closure.

What it displaces: a standalone incident and risk system subscription.

  • /incident-reporting Incident Reporting (PSIRF · LFPSE) Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /golden-thread Golden Thread — incident → theme → risk → objective Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /capa CAPA workflow Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /duty-of-candour Duty of Candour Live · some panels demonstrated

Credential & training assurance

Bought by the board, HR and the medical director

One registration spine — training, CPD, accreditations with expiry, competency sign-off and signature-backed appraisal — so Well-Led evidence comes straight from the record.

What it displaces: a standalone learning-management system and a separate appraisal / revalidation system.

  • /learn commvita Learn — training, CPD & accreditations Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /mandatory-training Mandatory Training compliance Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /appraisal Appraisal & professional revalidation Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /esign commvita Sign — platform e-signature Live

Job planning & scheduling

Bought by the chief operating officer and workforce leads

Job plans, rosters and safe-staffing evidence in one place, with a bank-first cascade before agency spend — the numbers a workforce board asks for, from the system that holds the shifts.

What it displaces: standalone e-rostering and job-planning contracts.

  • /job-planning Job Planning & PA Management Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /rostering Rostering Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /dynamic-scheduling Dynamic Scheduling Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /safe-staffing Safe Staffing / CHPPD Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /bank-agency Bank & Agency Cascade Live · some panels demonstrated

Board & policy governance

Bought by the company secretary and the board

Board packs, resolutions and actions on a tamper-evident audit trail. Policies are versioned, attested and turned into processes with named approvers.

What it displaces: a board-portal subscription and a policy-management tool.

  • /board-management Board Management — portal, papers, committees, actions Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /policy-library Policy Library — versioned, attested Live · some panels demonstrated
  • /board-assurance-framework Board Assurance Framework (BAF) Live

2The journey — four stages, in adoption-risk order

The editions are ordered by how much risk each one asks you to take. Govern first, with your door running on the Commvita Flow Edition base. Run the operation second. Move the clinical record last, once the platform has earned its place. The three editions hold 427 named capabilities between them at build B-966.

Each stage is paid for by a contract that was ending anyway. One platform takes over from separate systems as their contracts expire, with no big-bang migration. This page doesn’t say how much that saves. Section 3 lets you work it out.

Stage 1 — one door

Your chosen door, running on the Flow Edition base (identity and access control, audit, the data fabric and the API gateway) at £1 per Commvita Flow Edition instance (optional support). One contract replaced; nobody’s clinical workflow touched.

Stage 2 — govern the organisation

Widen across the Governance & Assurance Edition: 121 named capabilities — board assurance, risk, incident management, information governance, AI governance and workforce assurance. It becomes the governance system of record. Still no clinical workflow.

Stage 3 — run the operation

As operational point-system contracts end, switch on the Flow Edition’s own 139 named capabilities — patient tracking lists, the bed board, discharge, diagnostics capacity and assurance over the links to your other systems.

Stage 4 — the single patient record

The Population Platform adds 167 named capabilities: the clinical record across primary care, adult social care, mental health, pharmacy, dentistry and community services — ending at the whole-person, single patient record. It comes last because it’s the step that changes clinical work.

3Your rollout over time, worked out from your own contracts

List the contracts you hold today, with what each costs a year and when it ends. The chart shows them running off, commvita capability stepping up at each handover, and the cash released so far, worked out only from what you type here. Nothing is sent anywhere. The sums happen in your browser.

The rows already filled in are ILLUSTRATIVE. They’re round placeholder numbers, taken from no deployment and no benchmark, because commvita doesn’t publish savings figures. Replace them with your own contracts. Editing a row clears its ILLUSTRATIVE mark.

Worked out from the figures you entered. commvita doesn’t publish savings figures. Capability counts are cumulative named capabilities: 121 at stage 2, 260 at stage 3 and 427 at stage 4. The cash line takes off the support cost you entered. The £1 per Commvita Flow Edition instance licence is left out of the sums.

4What this page doesn’t claim

No benefit benchmarks. Every cash figure on this page comes from the values you entered. commvita doesn’t publish a “typical trust saves…” number, because it hasn’t measured one.
Module status is measured, and some of it is demonstration. The marks on the door cards come from the platform’s own record of which screens read live data, at build B-966. Live means real platform logic working end to end. Most of the modules here also have panels that still show seeded demonstration data, and the cards say so.
No reference deployments. The journey shows how the editions are meant to be adopted. It isn’t a history of anyone’s deployment. No supplier is named anywhere on this page, and the labels in the contract list are yours.

One Commvita Flow Edition instance is one deployment for your organisation, with every environment included: production, test, training and disaster recovery. It isn’t charged per seat, per environment or per site.

Where to start, then: ask for a walkthrough of one door. The demonstration system can show any of the four today, with the same live and demonstrated marks as above.
